What's New At Grace

The Forecast Looks Great!

1/4/2022

Picture
2022 is off to a great start.  Pastor Brent has completed the first week of our two week sermon series “Owner Builder.”  This new series is meant to unite the church around our role as followers of Christ and as members of Grace Church Kelseyville.  If you are not currently a member please engage with this series as a streamlined way to becoming a church member.  For those who are already members, please renew your membership as our expectations for members have changed since the church was founded 45 years ago and we want to make sure we are all pursuing the same goals and living with a united purpose.

On January 16th our church will host Vision Sunday.  Vision Sunday will be a great day of listening to and partnering with our ministry leaders to carry out fruitful ministry this next year.  I am anticipating a year of refinement and harvest for us and I hope you will partner with us to accomplish this.  Vision Sunday will also be the day we install Pastor Josh as our new Youth Pastor.  Rumor has it that we are having donuts to celebrate the installation and the sharing of our vision on January 16th.

On January 23rd we will kick off a new series entitled: “Blueprint.”  This series will have us walking through the book of Titus that will help us understand biblical eldership, discipleship and how to appropriately address false teachers.  We should all esteem to rise to the level of meeting the eldership qualifications.  We should all seek to have a deeper understanding of what it looks like to disciple others and be discipled and we should all have an understanding of how to handle false teachers

Following our Blueprint Series, we will be heading into a series on prayer.  Prayer is vital to our task as ministers of the gospel.  Scripture gives us a map of how to pray and what to pray for, it shows us the prayers of many people whom God used in big ways, and it shows us that prayer is essential for the believer as it is our direct connection to the source of our strength.  I  look forward to being challenged to grow in our pursuit of prayer as we walk though this series taking us all the way to Easter Sunday.

The forecast of what we will be pursuing the first half of the year is exciting.  I look forward to how God will educate us, challenge us and grow us as we pursue Him in the next six months.  If you want to get ahead of the game and start learning about these topics before we actually study them as a church please begin reading and studying Titus, Philemon, and interact with different passages surrounding the topic of prayer.  God has something great for you, are you ready to receive it?
