Are you ready for an adventure that's truly out of this world? Get ready to embark on a journey where kids learn to shine the light of Jesus in a space-themed extravaganza known as Stellar VBS. This one-of-a-kind program is designed to bring children closer to their faith while having an absolute blast. Let's dive into what makes Stellar VBS an experience like no other.

At Stellar VBS children and adults alike discover the power of "God Sightings" every day. These are simple acknowledgments that God is present, passionate, and powerful. It's about developing a God-focused view and cultivating a grateful heart. Participants are encouraged to look for God in various aspects of life, including Scripture, people, circumstances, and nature.

The program spans five exciting days, each with a unique theme that helps kids understand different aspects of their faith and how to apply it in their lives.

Let's take a sneak peek at what each day has in store:
Day One: When Life is Dark - "Shine Jesus Light" The journey begins with an exploration of how Jesus' light can illuminate even the darkest corners of our lives. Children learn about the power of faith and the hope that comes from shining the light of Jesus in times of darkness.
Day Two: When People Don't Get Along - "Shine Jesus Light" This day focuses on the importance of love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Children discover how they can be peacemakers and shine the light of Jesus in situations where people may not see eye to eye.
Day Three: When Life is Good - "Shine Jesus Light" Gratitude takes center stage as participants learn to recognize and appreciate the blessings in their lives. Through fun activities and engaging discussions, kids understand how they can shine the light of Jesus when life is going well.
Day Four: When People are Sad - "Shine Jesus Light" Empathy and compassion are key on this day as children explore ways to bring comfort and support to those who are experiencing sadness or hardship. They discover that they can be a beacon of hope. Kids also hear the story of Jesus and learn how he died for our sins. This opens an excellent opportunity for them to give their heart to him.
Day Five: When People Need Help - "Shine Jesus Light" The final day emphasizes serving others. Kids learn about the various ways they can make a positive impact on the world by being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Each day at Stellar VBS begins in the sanctuary, where participants learn about the theme for the day. They sing uplifting songs, watch captivating skits, and find out who their Bible buddy will be for that day's activities. From there, they venture into multiple areas designed to enhance their learning experience.

The Bible Adventure Room is a favorite among attendees, as it brings Bible stories to life through exciting reenactments. Children work on crafts and gizmos in the Imagination Station while listening to captivating Bible stories. This hands-on approach allows them to engage with the lessons on a deeper level.

However, it's the Game Area on the church lawn that truly steals the show. Kids can't resist the over-the-top fun organized by Lars Ewing and the youth kids. It's a space where they can let loose, make friends, and enjoy thrilling outdoor games.

In addition to the exciting activities and engaging lessons, Stellar VBS also has a special Mission Room where participants can learn about and support real-life missions around the world. This year, the focus is on a missionary project in West Africa.

In West Africa, there is a dedicated missionary working to build a school for underprivileged children in the community. The goal is to provide these children with access to quality education, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

As part of the Stellar VBS experience, attendees have the opportunity to contribute to this mission. The missionary in West Africa has shared a specific need: desks for the school once the building is completed and classes have begun. By supporting this project, the children attending Stellar VBS can directly impact the lives of their peers in West Africa.

Throughout the week, the kids are encouraged to bring in donations to help fund the desks for the school. Whether it's spare change, a small contribution, or fundraising efforts, every little bit counts and makes a significant difference. Stellar VBS aims to teach children the value of generosity and the importance of helping those in need. Please keep all involved in your prayers, and please ask God to provide the children that he desires to attend.

We are still looking for volunteers for this massive undertaking; if you are feeling God-tugging, please sign up online or speak to Nancy or Holly, who will be under the tent this Sunday!
