What's New At Grace

100 Day Challenge

9/19/2022

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7

There are just over 100 days left this year. I know, I know, many of you are saying either out loud or in your soul, “Pastor Brent don’t remind us!”. No matter how you feel about it, the reality is that the next 100 days will be full of emotions, stresses, distractions, joys, but also hurts. Fall is here and winter will be here shortly. The holiday season is right around the corner, followed quickly by the new year. For most of you, there is a lot to do and not much time to do it all. So, you continue to say, “Stop it Pastor Brent you are stressing me out!”

Before you close this post, I challenge you to take a moment out of your day and plan for success. If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time. You know your own habits that you fall into during this time of year, plan to change it. Plan to make the most of the next 100 days.

Perhaps reflect on January 1, 2022 and consider your new year’s resolutions. What have you been able to accomplish this year? Are you closer to the Lord this year than the last? Have you had dedicated quiet time to pray to God and read His Word? What can you do today to discipline yourself and prepare your heart, body, and soul for the remainder of the year?

In 2 Timothy the Apostle Paul speaks of finishing the race strong. Although believers will be in the race as long as they live, setting short term goals is important. Setting goals helps each of us evaluate, refocus, and begin running strong again. Don’t waste this season and let it slip by forgotten. I want to challenge you to make the most of the next 100 days with a goal to draw closer to the Lord in prayer and devotion to His Word.

-Pastor Brent
