Women’s Retreat is Almost Here!

Sep 26, 2024

Ladies– Listen, I (Monica Schlange) need to tell you about Women’s Retreat. Yes, need. This will be my eleventy-nineth one I’ve attended (I’ve lost count). I need you to hear me when I say: I want YOU at this year’s Women’s Retreat! Yes, you!

Thinking back on some retreats reminded me–

-One year I made such close friends with some gals from two generations up that we still joke and visit and love each time we see each other.

-One year I tried to sing along to the closing song “I Surrender All” and realized I couldn’t surrender all, so I put my hood on and closed it tight around my face and cried until I did surrender all and experienced great freedom.

-One year God revealed to me a name He calls me, and I’ve been able to walk more in my identity in Him since then.

-One year I shared with a gal the grief I was struggling with and she gave me an awesome tool that not only helps me process grief but also I’ve been able to share with others.

-One year I laughed so hard while hanging out during one of the free times that I nearly needed a change of clothes. On further reflection, this happens every year. Women are hilarious!

-One year I won a loaf of homemade sourdough during retreat.

-One year God opened up an area inside me that I had closed off to Him, eventually bringing healing and my no longer walking in shame!

-Every year God weaves my heart together with more and more women from our community for friendships that last a lifetime. Women I barely knew I’ve now prayed for, laughed with, lived alongside, encouraged.

Do you want some of that freedom, laughter, really good food you didn’t have to cook, friendships, break from day to day life? Or maybe you just don’t want FOMO? Whatever your reason for attending: I can’t wait to see YOU at Women’s Retreat. Please consider this your personal invitation!

October 25-27 at Hartstone Bible Camp in Potter Valley.

Sign up online or on Sunday at the retreat table at Church. If you have any questions go to the bottom of the registration page, or feel free to contact myself or Pastor Brent.
