We’re excited to announce a new Sunday School class beginning Sunday, June 1st at 9:00 AM, running for 14 weeks, that will guide us through the universally practical book The Peacemaker by Ken Sande. Books can be purchased through the church for $10 each.
Conflict is something we all experience. This book and this class will be useful for anyone. We, or our loved ones, experience conflict at home, at work, in friendships, and even within the church. Often, we avoid it, mishandle it, or let it grow into something bigger than it needs to be. But what if we could approach conflict in a way that actually honors God, strengthens relationships, and promotes healing?
The Peacemaker is a biblical and practical guide to navigating conflict in a way that is redemptive rather than destructive. It shows how we can become instruments of God’s peace, whether we’re the ones in conflict or we’re helping others work through it.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

What to Expect
This class will cover:
- The root causes of conflict and how to identify them in yourself and others.
- Biblical steps to resolving conflict through confession, forgiveness, and reconciliation.
- How to speak the truth in love and approach difficult conversations with wisdom and grace.
- How to be a peacemaker in your family, workplace, and church.
Each week will include discussion, real-life scenarios, and encouragement for applying these principles in our daily lives.
Why This Matters
Here are a few examples of how this class can impact everyday life:
- At Home: You’re feeling misunderstood by your spouse, and tensions have been rising. Instead of withdrawing or arguing, you learn how to approach the issue with humility and clarity, leading to real conversation and healing.
- At Work: A co-worker undermines your efforts, and you’re tempted to retaliate or gossip. Through this class, you discover how to address the situation in a way that maintains your integrity and opens the door to reconciliation.
- With Friends or Family: Long-standing hurt has made a relationship feel distant. You begin to understand the power of genuine forgiveness, not forgetting the past, but choosing peace over bitterness.
- In Church Life: A disagreement in a ministry team threatens unity. You learn to listen well, speak kindly, and seek solutions that glorify God rather than escalate division.
Whether you’re facing conflict right now or want to be better prepared for the future, this class will equip you with Christ-centered tools for peacemaking.
Join us in the Library on Sunday, June 1st at 9:00 AM. Books can be purchased through the church for $10 each, and all are welcome, whether you’re new to the church or have been here for years.
