Teaching Kids Truth in a World of Artificial

In today’s world, discerning between what is real and what is fake presents a significant challenge! Just imagine being an elementary student in this digital age, where social media, television, and artificial intelligence present information that seems highly believable but can often be distorted or outright false. That’s precisely why this year’s theme is so fitting. By encouraging our children to deepen their relationship with God and immerse themselves in His life-changing words from the Bible, we are arming them with the ability to distinguish between falsehoods and truths.

Through our Scuba VBS week, children are empowered to navigate through the barrage of information by anchoring their understanding in the teachings of God’s Word. This is a truly transformative gift! Throughout the week, our kids will be immersed in essential Bible truths, from exploring the Sticky Scripture Room to experiencing engaging Bible stories in the Bible Adventure Room, and also discovering how God works wonders in the Imagination Station.

If you weren’t able to join us as a crew leader for VBS this year, there are still plenty of ways you can support this mission:

  1. Prayer: Let’s remember that God is in charge! Please join us in prayer for our kids, station leaders, and administrators, that His will be done.
  2. Decorating: We invite you to lend a hand in decorating our space! Join us on Monday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm or Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 8 pm.
  3. Crew Leader Training: If you’re interested in becoming a crew leader, don’t miss our training sessions on Tuesday the 18th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm and Sunday the 23rd (after the second service) from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Let’s come together as a community to make this year’s Scuba VBS an unforgettable experience for our children, filled with the light and truth of God’s Word!

Working alongside you,
Melissa Chapman
