This past Wednesday, September 24, I had the privilege of joining students from both Lakeport and Kelseyville High School for See You at the Pole. Unlike the traditional early-morning gatherings, we met during their lunch breaks—right in the middle of the school day.
Between the two campuses, I was able to meet with about 25 students who chose to take time out of lunch to pray. Together, we lifted up our nation, our community, their schools, and their fellow students.
What made this especially powerful was the public witness. As students gathered around their flagpoles, many others walked by and saw them boldly living out their faith. It wasn’t hidden—it was a visible statement that prayer and following Jesus matter, even in the middle of a busy school day.
Even more encouraging, this wasn’t just happening here. Across the country, students were gathering at their flagpoles, joining with one heart and one voice to pray. It’s a reminder that God is raising up a generation who is not ashamed of the Gospel and who desires to see Him move in their schools.
We are thankful for every student who stepped out in faith, and we’re praying that the courage they showed at the flagpole carries over into every part of their lives and classrooms. May what started at lunch continue to grow into a lifestyle of prayer, boldness, and love for Jesus on their campuses.
