Men of Grace Church, it’s that time of year again. The daily grind has a way of wearing us down, blurring our focus, and crowding out the quiet moments we need to hear from God.
That’s why, for years, we’ve made it a tradition to head out to the coast. From August 21–23, we are returning to the Albion Field Station for our Annual Men’s Retreat. This is your invitation to unplug, recharge, and press into what God has for you alongside brothers.
What to Expect
If you’ve never been to Albion, you’re going to love it. Situated right where the river meets the coast, it’s the perfect place to escape the summer heat.
- The Accommodations: We stay in comfortable rooms equipped with private bathrooms and showers. Plus, you get to choose your room and roommates as the date gets closer! If you prefer, you can bring a tent and camp near the river or bring your own RV.
- The Food: We pride ourselves on eating well every single year. You won’t go hungry.
- Saturday: After our morning session, Saturday afternoon is completely wide open. You can make the weekend whatever you need it to be:
- Relax: Stay on-site, catch up on sleep, play board games, or find a quiet place to read a book (or your Bible!).
- Water activities: Take the provided kayaks up-river to see the floating houses, bring your own gear to explore the ocean caves, or do some fishing.
- The Beach: Head to Big River Beach for some intense whiffle ball or a game of tackle football.
- Explore: Head into town with a few guys to grab a bite, shop, and look around.
This Year’s Theme
While we do a ton of laughing and making unforgettable memories, we also go to Albion with a purpose. We go to dig into God’s Word and challenge one another to step up in our faith. This year, our theme is “Living Before the Throne,” rooted in Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
What does it actually look like to live confidently before the throne of God, fully accepted because of Jesus Christ? How do we become men who prayerfully worship, forgive others, pursue reconciliation, break old sin patterns, and offer our lives as a living sacrifice to an Almighty, merciful God?
That is exactly what we are going to discover across four sessions filled with worship, speakers, testimonies, and small-group prayer.
Our prayer for the men of Grace Church Kelseyville is that we would be defined by a sound, unshakeable faith. We want to be men who lead our homes and the next generation toward sound doctrine, living out everything Jesus commanded us.
