Got an Extra Seat?

Sep 23, 2026

At the heart of following Jesus is the call to love our neighbors and open our doors wide so everyone feels welcome. Sometimes, the most powerful way to show that love doesn’t require a grand gesture, it simply starts with an open car door and a friendly smile.

What God Is Doing on Live Oak

Recently, our local outreach ministry, Open Arms, began serving our community right down the street on Live Oak here in Kelseyville. It has been a true blessing to see relationships forming and practical needs being met.

Through these connections, something wonderful has happened. Several individuals served have expressed a deep desire to attend our Sunday services. They want to worship with us, hear God’s Word, and find community here in our church family. However, there’s one barrier standing in the way—they can’t get here on their own.

A Simple Ride Can Change a Life

Do you have an extra seat or two to spare?

Offering a ride is so much more than just transit. It’s an opportunity to:

  • Extend hospitality: A warm welcome before someone even steps foot through the church doors.
  • Build relationships: Getting to know our neighbors over a short drive down the road.
  • Remove obstacles to the Gospel: Ensuring that lack of a ride never keeps someone from experiencing the love and hope found in Christian fellowship.

Whether you can commit yourself to giving a ride every week or simply want to be on a rotating list of drivers, your willingness to serve makes a difference.

How You Can Help

If you have room in your vehicle and a heart to serve our neighbors, we would love to connect with you.

Thank you for being a congregation that doesn’t just wait for people to find us, but actively goes out to meet them where they are!
