Grace Church feels incredibly blessed by the amazing number of volunteers who dedicate their time to our 8-month Awana program. Seriously, these folks are like the Superheros of the church world, swooping in each week to guide our kids through songs where they’re singing and learning the movements. I mean, you haven’t truly lived until you’ve seen an adult running circles around the game area, cheering on our clubbers like a mix of a coach and a cheerleader. Talk about a confidence boost for our clubbers! For many of these kids, just a little extra attention from our volunteers can make their whole night—and maybe even their entire week!
And let’s not forget the heartwarming moments when our volunteers sit down with the kids, helping them memorize Bible verses. I’ve heard so many adults say, “Oh, I memorized that verse back in my Awana days!” It’s like planting eternal kingdom seeds that keep on growing. Thank you for pouring your hearts into these kids and helping secure their eternity with the King of Kings! Seriously, we can’t say it enough—thank you, thank you, thank you!
Now, Awana Volunteers, mark your calendars! Join us in the Gym on Tuesday night, the 29th, at 6:30 for a fun night of fellowship. We’ll share funny stories from this year and celebrate the fact that God got us through it all! And remember, food = love, so come hungry! We want to feed you and show just how much we appreciate all that you do. Let’s make it a night to remember—because you deserve it!
