Big Impact in a Small Box

Sep 23, 2026

Imagine a child who has never received a gift opening a brightly colored box, discovering not only fun toys and everyday essentials, but the life-changing message of God’s love.

Through Operation Christmas Child, simple shoeboxes become powerful tools to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with unreached children and families across the globe. This year, we are taking a more personal, flexible approach to packing—giving you, your family, or your small group the chance to be hands-on in sending hope around the world.

While we won’t be hosting a central packing party on campus, you can easily participate right from home!

How to Get Involved

1. Grab Your Boxes (Starting Sunday, October 4th)

Head over to the table under the tent after service to pick up an empty shoebox (or several!).

2. Pack with Love and Purpose

Gather your family, roommates, or small group and turn packing into a memorable evening. Fill each box with a mix of quality toys, school supplies, and personal care items for a boy or girl.

Need gift ideas or packing tips? Visit SamaritansPurse.org and select Operation Christmas Child for gift guides, age-category recommendations, and items to avoid.

3. Include the $10 Shipping & Ministry Donation

Every box requires a $10 donation to cover international shipping, local distribution, and the delivery of Gospel literature and discipleship materials (like The Greatest Journey Bible study). You can include this donation directly with your box.

4. Return Your Box by Sunday, November 15th

Bring your filled boxes—along with your prayers for the child who will receive them—back to the church collection area no later than Sunday, November 15th.

Every shoebox planted in faith carries an eternal ripple effect. Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your heart to reach the nations with the hope of Christ!
