As we reflect on the incredible work happening in our children’s ministries at Grace Church, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each of you who dedicate your time and love to our children. Your commitment and enthusiasm shine through in every interaction, making a lasting impact on the lives of our youngest members.
I have loved every minute of getting to know the brave men and women who have worked alongside me in caring for our kids. It’s heartwarming to see our nursery bustling with life, and I can’t remember the last time I saw a baby on the floor! Our dedicated ladies eagerly await the opportunity to hold your sweet infants, ensuring that every child feels loved and secure. If you’re a mom grappling with leaving your baby in the nursery, please rest assured that we have a dream team of adults who will care for your child as if they were their own.
The energy and dedication of our volunteers go beyond just holding babies. Those who get down on their hands and knees to play with our toddlers are truly the best! They provide comfort during those initial moments of transition when little ones are dropped off in an unfamiliar environment. It’s a joy to witness those toddlers gradually warm up to the fun and silly people waiting to play with them!
In our preschool classes, the joy and excitement are palpable as the kids rush to the toys, eager to engage with our big people and junior helpers. Watching them scribble outside the lines while soaking in Bible stories is a reminder of the magic that happens when we nurture curiosity and creativity in our children.
Our Sunday school and Junior Church teachers exemplify kindness and compassion as they listen to the kids share their prayer requests. Whether it’s praying for a sick pet, a beloved grandparent, friends who need Jesus, or even a scraped knee, you bond with these littles as you bring their heartfelt requests to the Lord. The laughter from silly games like bubble-blowing contests or paper airplane races not only builds camaraderie but also creates cherished memories.
As a token of appreciation for all your hard work and dedication, I can’t wait to serve you lunch this Sunday! We’ll be having a delicious potato bar featuring “Melissa’s homemade brisket chili”—perfect for topping off those fluffy potatoes. Along with that, we’ll have a variety of toppings, fresh salad, and delightful homemade desserts crafted by Myself and Jeff Weller.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support and love for our children. It’s a privilege to serve alongside you, and I look forward to sharing a meal together this Sunday!
