A Father’S Love

Jun 10, 2025

Father’s Day is an opportunity to honor the men who have shaped our lives. We celebrate the laughter, the lessons, the challenges, the protection, the late-night talks, and the support. Earthly or spiritual fathers can be an incredible example of love, sacrifice, and strength.

But let’s be honest, fatherhood is also really challenging. There are days filled with doubt, moments of frustration, and perhaps even times when we feel like we’ve fallen short. Maybe you’re a dad today carrying the weight of past mistakes, feeling like you’ve failed your children in some way. Perhaps you look back and wish you had done things differently, said more, or been present when it mattered most. If those feelings resonate with you, we want you to know something important.

Even when we feel like we’ve failed, we have a Father in Heaven who never does.

Our Heavenly Father is the ultimate example of perfect love, unfailing patience, and boundless forgiveness. He knows our hearts, our struggles, and our imperfections, and yet His love for us remains steadfast. He offers us grace, redemption, and the opportunity to begin anew, no matter what our past holds.

The Bible reminds us of His unwavering character:

“The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” – Psalm 145:13b (NIV)

This Father’s Day, we want to encourage all dads, grandfathers, and father figures: don’t let past regrets define your future. Instead, lean into the perfect love and forgiveness offered by our Heavenly Father. It’s never too late to step up, to seek reconciliation, and to embrace the incredible privilege and responsibility of fatherhood, even if it is not for your biological kids.

This Sunday, we invite you to bring your families to church to celebrate Father’s Day with us. It’s a wonderful opportunity to reflect on God’s faithfulness, to be encouraged in your role as a dad as a spiritual leader, and to experience the joy of worshiping together as a family.

We look forward to seeing you and your family this Sunday!
